#3

In my first class of Spanish grammar I received my schedule. Luckily, my professor (Yolanda) does not speak rapidly. I understand most of her questions and statements. The next professor (Carmela) is slightly different, she speaks very little English and speaks very fast that the whole class looks in shock. I hope that after a few days I´ll feel more comfortable and will be able to pick up more. The third teacher (Merce) seems nice. She tries to help us understand the context of her questions. I like that fact that she uses the chalkboard. I am a visual learner and I can usually figure the word out once it is written. My first 3 classes are in the same building. I am pleased about that. The listening lab with professor Manuela is going to be very necessary for me to get the pronunciation of the words.

El grupo tuvo una reunión rápida después de la clase con respecto a las sesiones obligatorias que dan clases privadas. Fui con 30 minutos de retraso que llegan a casa y tuvieron que explicar a Carmen. Tuve brécol de pez, y el pan para almorzar. Empecé mis deberes de la gramática y la gallina tomó una siesta corta. Todos encontramos en el Plaza Mayor y fueron informados acerca de las sesiones que dan clases privadas. Ellos estarán en mi edificio principal que es gran porque donde es.

In the EE.UU I know there will be a party going on. I think there will be one here as well. I am studying verbs in grammar class in the present tense and -arse ending. A few other people from the group have joined my level. Some of them are in a few of my classes. I feel good that I actually know what I´m doing in class. However, I am not used to using the vosotros forms. I have homework in all my classes. Prof. Merce just wants us to practice speaking Spanish. A lot of the words sound similar. No tutoring today, because information session about excursions and extra classes. The cooking class seems interesting, but I will not have time for studying and that. Later, my roommate and I are thinking about going out tonight. I called a few people back home in the states and then went to bed.
